Smith Museum of Natural Historyis home to an extensive collection of insects, mammals, fish, reptiles, plants, minerals, fossils and human artifacts, including a large collection of Native American baskets, blankets and pottery; Whittenberger Planetariumis located in Boone Science Hall and hosts several astronomy shows each year for local school children and adults; Glen & Ruth Evans Gem and Mineral Collection includes more than 50 glass-enclosed cases containing common and rarely-found gems and minerals, including Brazilian and Mexican Agate, Biggs Jasper, Varisscite, Lake Superior Agate, Tiger Eye, Bruneau Jasper and Owyhee Jasper; Sterry Hall was one of the two original buildings first built at Albertson, it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and houses Archive collections for Idaho Governors Phil Batt and Robert Smylie, and Idaho Senator Steve Symms.
